Meeting Colin, a 10 year old boy who, through his tears, tells you he is hungry and shows you the pallet in the ally where he lives, makes the orphanage crisis real. Discovering the magnitudeof this problem makes you say, “I have to do something about this!”That is how SPARK Worldwide got its start. SPARK Worldwide began in 2000 when Leanna Brewer traveled,with her husband, pastor Troy Brewer, and a couple of friends to Uganda, East Africa. Like so many others, Leanna had heard about the children orphaned by the years of war and the AIDS epidemicthat has ravaged so many countries around the world. It was on thistrip that she met Colin and suddenly, “thinking” about doing something wasn’t enough. She decided to get involved in the crisis.She returned to Texas with a resolve to start a ministry that would have global impact in this horrific crisis.Those of us that have joined in the mission of SPARK Worldwidehave since traveled to many countries and found that the orphan crisis is everywhere. As you visit this site I hope your heart is moved to join us in saying, “I have to do something about this!”To date, SPARK Worldwide has ongoing support for orphanages in Mexico, Africa, India and Brazil.Together we can Serve, Protect, and Raise Kids around the world,we are the SPARK that will bring hope to these children.

We are so excited to announce the well is flowing, providing clean water to the beautiful people of Kankoole, Uganda ! The school building is finished and teachers are teaching ! The soccer fields, the church, the new bathrooms..... SO MUCH PROGRESS!!! It is awesome to see what happens when we unite in a cause for Christ! ...there is more to come!

What we did with $35,400 We would like to keep you informed on what $35,400 enabled us able to accomplish in four different countries on three different continents. *3000 backpacks stuffed with new Christmas toys and handed out to orphans and poor children on the border of Texas and Mexico. For ten years we have been working with indigenous ministries for distribution and the impact is immeasurable. Total Cost to SPARK $10,000. *A birthday party for 280 children in our Orphanage in Vizagapatam, India. They receive a birthday cake, school supplies, new clothes, a gift, and an understanding that each one is loved through this unique ministry. Total cost to SPARK $4800. * Annual support of a team member living in the slums of Bombay India; teaching the poorest of children how to read and write English while sharing Jesus through love, food, shelter and clothes. Melinda Grantham is a Texas Certified school teacher. Her housing and ministry tools are provided through other ministries so our cost is very minimal to support her in her second year. Total cost to SPARK $3200 *Village transformation in Konkolle, Uganda. The water well is built, the church is built, the soccer field and the school are up and running! This year we will complete the building of three new class rooms to educate an additional 50 children. Total cost to SPARK $6000. *School fees/Mandatory Uniforms for 50 orphans in Konkolle Village, Uganda, East Africa. Total Cost to SPARK $2400. *Traveling expenses for Leanna to visit the orphanages we support in Uganda, Mexico and India to oversee our projects. Includes all airfare, lodging and transportation. Total cost to SPARK $6000 *Improvement and cleaning of facility and property of our Mexico Orphanage Total cost to SPARK $3000. ____________________________________________________________________Should our income exceed our budget, a few things we are ready to accomplish:UGANDA- -We still need four more school class rooms for the school in Uganda. $4000 ea-Leanna needs to make additional trips to this country throughout the yr $3000 ea-Medical clinic and pharmacy in our African village $14,000-Build, furnish and house an orphanage supporting 100 kids $65,000-New shoes for every child in our village (200) $1000INDIA -Playground for our orphanage $4,000.00-Leannas travel needs $3000.00-New school uniforms for all 280 of our orphans $5600-New shoes for all of our kids (280 kids) $1400Mexico -Our orphanage needs three new industrial washers and dryers $4000.00-Electrical renovation through entire orphanage $ 5000.00-Individual storage chest for every child $1200.00-New shoes for all our kids (60 kids) $1200Right now, all overhead, all salaries and the bulk of other expenses are paid for through Open Door Ministries and other Christian relief agencies. So 100% of all money donated to SPARK goes directly towards the lives we are reaching. Our medical team and purchased medicine, treated, and performed minor surgeries for an entire 20 acre village that would otherwise would have had no medical care.

With your support SPARK Worldwide:

• Poured a cement floor for our school that allows 130 kids a place to get an education

• Leveled and built a beautiful soccer field

• Fed an entire village for a week

• Purchased livestock

• Purchased a water harvesting system

• Installed swing sets for the children

• Purchased 30 bicycles for transportation to and from the remote village

This little boy is an orphan in the village at Kankoole. The last day of our visit we noticed him off by himself, nursing his arm. After further investigation, we realized he had a broken arm. We, SPARK SUPPORTERS, paid to have a much needed operation on his arm and a caregiver for his 14 days in the hospital. We are going to continue to support this little guy.
